What F2P games are you playing?

I'm sort of in the middle of a gaming drought right now, so Ive been exploring different options in the F2P game market. In the past week or so, I've downloaded close to 10 F2P games, ranging from Black Prophecy to Dragon's Nest.

But I'm wondering what F2P games everyone else is playing, which may help me decide upon my new gaming home.

Also...what's your opinion on the F2P game market as a whole? I think it's a fantastic revenue model if it's done right, but I recognize the issues that can come up if it's implemented poorly.

TF2 is free to play, but you need to add $5 to your steam wallet and buy an item from the item store to unlock the full game.

TF2, LoL, and Quake Live.

TF2, Global Agenda, and that other warcraft-type MMO on Steam. They're surprisingly good for being F2P.

TF2 and I just started playing Quake Live

Assault Cube.

It has a very active, friendly community, and it's open source. It's very similar to Counter-Strike.

I downloaded this a week ago -- I can't get enough. It'll run on just about any machine, and it's a very small download. This is one game you definitely don't want to pass up on. :)

TF2 is the only free game I play, most others are MEH imo.

So far, the best F2P game I've tried is Bloodline Champions. It's basically WoW's arena system, but without the gear imabalances. Anyone who's interested in WoW arena should deinitely check this game out.

NO, I mean you have to unlock the full version buy making a Mannco purchase. The 'free' version is not the same as I understand it. I'm not sure about a map stamp, but I know you can unlock the full game by buying a 50cent item as well. BUT you need to put at least $5 in your steam wallet for the transaction to go through.

A free account has less drops, less backpack space, cannot trade and cannot get certain gear. Any purchase unlocks the "full" version.

League of Legends. And the occasional TF2, though I did buy the game before it went free to play.

TF2, still getting hours of enjoyment out of it. :)
