I'm looking for games like Oblivion. FPS, RPG, I dont care. I just need...

- Real-time combat. I hate turn-based, and whatever type of combat used in KOTOR.

I like the whole stats/levelling aspect of Oblivion, if that helps.

Try a 10 day trial of World of Warcraft. It's not FPS though.

Oblivion is an RPG, just in case that little bit of information slipped your mind. Though some purists may argue it is a poor RPG. Anyway.... real-time combat eh? A lot of dungeon crawlers like Diablo, Sacred, Titan Quest have real-time combat but play nothing like KOTOR. For a similar experience to KOTOR, get Jade Empire. It's from the same people who made KOTOR. Also, towards the end of May, look for the PC version of Mass Effect.

Guess I'll have to wait for Mass Effect PC.

Oblivion is my favorite RPG of all time, the first I got into, so I guess I'm way too picky since no other game is really like it.

Try Gothic 3, Two Worlds, or Jade Empire.

If you don't mind trying some older games, then you might take a look at Gothic 2 and Arx Fatalis. Arx Fatalis is completely first person, while Gothic 2 allows you to explore and interact in first person, but combat is in third person. Both games have real-time combat and I found them both to be enjoyable games.

Other than that, Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind is the obvious answer.

Can't believe no one has mentioned The Witcher yet. I'm currently playing it at the moment and think it's awesome. Geralt is a badass, I imagine him as a Jedi, but in the dark ages. You have your silver sword for slicing up monsters instead of your lightsaber and you have your signs instead of the force. And if thats not enough if you play your cards right you can seduce the local female populace into sleeping with you, clearly the basis for what makes a game great :P.

Morrowind is "like" it, but better in every way in my opinion.

Mass Effect?gamerguy845

doesn't that have similar combat to kotor? i don't know personally, but i would imagine it does...

anyway, i think the op should give stalker a try. it doesn't have the leveling system like oblivion does, but you get better and better guns as you progress in the game, which kind of makes it feel like you're leveling up. plus, an fps with rpg elements - can't beat that.

Darkfall. It's an MMORPG in a sandbox world (like oblivion) with Full PVP loot, PVE combat, Quests, Clans, Player owned houses and Cities.
