Well I've decided it's about time for a new game, but I'm not sure which has more value.

I don't buy games often so value is a huge deal, but If its 100 hours of boring gameplay then I'll have to pass :P.

NOTE: I realize not all these are out yet, and obviously if I choose to wait for them I will be reading a review or 2 and playing the demo.

I'm stayin faithful to CoH. So much muliplayer potential. My friends really liked bioshock but they were done with it permanently after a week max.

I voted for CoH mainly because you are putting greater importance on "value". Its obvious that you willget more hours out CoH multiplayer than from anything else. In this regard, I think that Sup Com is a good pick as well.

Otherwise, I would have voted for Bioshock, but it doesnt have multiplayer.

Well chosing a game will be tough, with all the good games coming to us. Right now im playing bioshock and i think its great. It has awesome level designs and intelligent story telling, not to mention one of the best soundtracks ive heard in a game. what gives the value to this game besides the two endings possible is the diversity of situations you can create in combat and all of them makes you laugh hihihi, just watching those fraks run when i set them on fire, screaming in pain while i gentlyprepare my heatseecking missile warms my heart.Maybe its better to wait for the new games if you have a short budget. My guesses are Crysis (i think harcore fps players with freak out with this one), Kane n Lynch (I love psicoloonie storys), Hellgate london (if its like diablo bring it on)and Assassins creed, finally another cool assassin besides hitman of course. Ohh i almost forgot hl episode 2. hahah its easier towrite them all down, so many good games coming out, so little money

Orange Box. 10% off if you order off of Steam and you get to play the TF2 beta.

Wait for Crysis. If its half as good as Far Cry, it will be worthwhile (but its definately gonna be better than Far Cry!)

Bioshock is a big stinker, Supreme Commander is a turtler's wet dream, and CoH is cool but just more of the same.

All good games, but Crysis is the one to wait for.

I'll be trying the demo regardless. I have more things to buy than video games, so I'll likely buy one game until November probly.

CoH. Bioshock is okay, but you're done in 15 or 20 hours.

Well with the delay of the Crysis demo, I've decided to not save my money for Crysis and buy CoH and get Crysis in december or something.

AH. Looks like I have another choice.

Month of October: Orange Box VS CoH: OF

Month of November: Loser of Previous month

Month of December: Crysis

I guess that looks good, I usually don't buy that many games, but meh they ALL look great. Plus I haven't played ANY HL games...

Definitely wait for the Crysis demo. Really doubting the game will run on my PC even with all the settings as low as possible. But if the demo runs good, then it makes my life just that much easier =]

I'd say wait for Huxley. If you really love online FPS, then Huxley seems like the best route.

hmmm... it's a tough call, because the way i'm looking at it, you want value for money - but would you measure value in quality or quantity, or a balance of the two?

in terms of sheer time spent, the rts games probably take it - if you love coh, then OF is gonna float your boat, but remember, even if it is standalone, it's just an expansion - it's still the same game you've been playing over and over... expansions can have a way of killing rts games in some cases (for me, anyway)

supcom is a really the opposite of coh in terms of style, supcom is: fought in space, with robots instead of humans... is it me, or is this the worst idea ever? maybe it's just my preference, but i like war to be about men dying in agony, because that's what war is, it's real and it's human and i can relate to it... robots exploding a hundred million lightyears away means nothing to me... and if i wanted a strategic game with no killing, i'd just fire up chessmaster

supcom is good, though, as an RTS if - if - you are okay with the cold, impersonal and inhuman feeling it has... just make sure you're playing online, the ai is terrible

bioshock is a good game, especially if you haven't played system shock 2 - if you haven't, you'll probably find a game with fun(ish), emergent firefights with a lot of tools at your disposal; a clever, well written plot; and stunning visuals... if you have played shock 2, you'll probably find it has fun(ish) emergent firefights that replace a genius level of horror and the combat suddenly feels pointless; a clever, well written plot that is ripped almost directly from shock 2 and you can see the twist coming three months before you start playing; and awesome visuals....... and no multiplayer

crysis... ahhh, crysis... i don't have much hope for this game, really - i didn't like farcry, but crysis certainly seems set on.... adhering to the exact formula that farcry ran to! but at the least, the game is beautiful and the wysiwyg editor is awesome looking, so the mod community could make that game into something magnificent

i guess all round i'd say OF is your best bet (since it's cheaper than a full game, and you know you like it), followed by crysis (it has tons of potential and could be awesome), then supcom (a solid rts if you can tolerate its style) then bioshock (great if you've not played ss2, okay if you have)
