Alright, I want a newer RTS type game, I am stuck between command and conquer 3 and Med Evil total war 2.

I am looking for Alot of online play, with fast action and battles. Which one should I buy?

They are both quite different =/ I haven't played C & C 3 yet, so i'm completely useless here. All i can say is one has very realistic combat situations with turn based strategy, while the other....more starcraftish if you get what i mean =P

Basically it depends on whether you like modern or medieval type rts games. I'm not sure about medieval, but c&c definatly has fast paced gameplay, and that would be my choice.

Well I like both, I tried both demos.

I love the command and conquer series, but I like the long range battles in total war 2.

Don't have Medival but C&C3 is pretty fun and comes with tons of live videos for the campaign.

I know you didn't have it as one of your options, but you should check out supreme commander.  It can be really fast and fun.  There are demos for all of these game; just try those out and pick the one you like best.

i dont really care for the medibval games but i do love c&c3 but even better than both of those was supreme commander but you need to have a beast of a rig to even run that well

Oh man, tough choice, I guess you'd have to choose from your heart. Mine belongs to C&C, since it was the first RTS game I played back in 95. Both are great games though.

Yea right now I think ill have more fun with command and conquer. I looked at supreme commander and sadly i can't a direct download for it like Ea Link or steam for the other 2.

I love the Total War series. But personally, once I was done playing Starcraft, I couldn't stand playing any other RTS 'cause it was sorta the same thing.. (Except Battle for Middle Earth, I could stand that one for a while). Maybe it's just not for me, and Total War is very different so I liked it, I just found it deep, yet in an elegant way, rather than simply making it more complex and annoyingly micromanagy

I am a huge fan of Command and Conquer myself, so I'm going to say that.
But if Rome Total War is any indication, M2:TW is a great game, also.

if you want fast action and lots of online play, why are you even considering medieval (that's, medieval) 2?

m2 is a slow paced, thinking man's game - the battles are cool and brutal, but there's nothing fast paced about it, and i seriously doubt the online community is really... uh... exists 

sorry if i seem like a jerk, but have you researched these games at all? it's like going, hey, i want a flash new ride to impress my girl, shall i get this sportscar or this abandoned tractor i found at a farm with no engine
