I've got a friend getting a new mac, and he's wondering what games you can get for it. i know you can get call of duty 2 and halo, but beyond that, what else is there?

Here, knock yourself (and your friend) out.

Oh, and all Blizzard games released after 2000 (or so) are both PC and Mac compatible.

I don't know why people keep asking what games are for mac?

You just install windows on your mac with bootcamp and play every single PC game.

Is there an advantage to running the same game on OSX rather than Windows? I haven't heard of any and if there is I reckon it would negligable.

Why should they install Windows to play games when games are available for the Mac? Granted, there may be more games for the Windows OS, but more games does not always equal overall better games. Besides, just go to that link I posted, and go shopping for Mac games from GoGamer (shoot, even Amazon's got a Mac Games section).

Well you answered your own question - more games.

Blizzard and iD both routinely release their games for Mac. But if you want better variety, tell your friend to do him/herself a favor and download boot camp and install Vista or XP. Only real problem is that Apple doesn't support boot camp. So, if you encounter a problem you're kind of SOL and will have to go and find help.

Cool, thanks. i think he might actually do the windows boot camp thing though. you just get more games that way.
