So unfortunately my garage was broken into the night before last and a fair bit o' stuff was taken (Boooo!) As such i didn't really get much sleep that night a was trying to find a decent game to take my mind off things. So i'm wondering if anyone has a game they really love to play to just relax and if any of these games are multiplayer. Lay me down some suggestions! Ta!!

TBSs like Civ V or city builders like, like Anno 1404/2070, Settles VIII, Tropico 3 (not 4, don't like it)sometimes some fun, creative little indie games.

Old games or indie games with retro look, they remind me of my younger days.

Jazz Jackrabbit 2. Beat it countless times, but there's something about the atmosphere that just makes me keep coming back for more. I probably know nearly every level of the game out of my head by now. :P I haven't played much of the multiplayer recently, but it's also quite good.

Other titles include FIFA 11 and free-roam driving titles such as FUEL and Test Drive Unlimited 2. Oh, and Age of Empires III because of the atmosphere.

Now that I think about it, one of the reasons I play games full stop is to relax, regardless of the genre. Alright, so maybe Battlefield 3 isn't exactly the best way to chill, but in general I play just about any single-player game to relax.

Max Payne usually. It's atmosphere has an enveloping quality that soothes me - which is weird considering the game's violent tone, but there you go.

I love relaxing games. One of my favorites is Just Cause 2, because the world is so beautiful and you can just go off and explore it if you want.

Eufloria has a real mellow zen-like vibe, and is very relaxing.

Evochron Mercenary lets you just kind of drift through space, mining ore, visiting stations and planets.

there's a bunch more, I'm just blanking out right now

- Anno 2070 - seriously... yesterday 5 hours passed like it was nothing, I have over 100 hours on this game now and its nto been out long. I liked the previou Anno games and was a bit worried about this one moving to the future but its even better then games past. Even more depth if you can imagine that! Anyways, thsi is my super relaxing game!

- Gothic3/Gothic2 - Maybe not all that relaxing but I have played Gothic2 and Gothic3 so much over the years that I amvery calm and relaxed when exploring there game worlds and doing missions. Its wierd because the games are not easy at all, but while I play its somewhat relaxing (:

- TF2 - I have not played in months but for years this was one of my relaxing games, just jump on some ARENA mode with some friends and let the hours pass by!

- Sim City 2000/Sim City 4/Tropico3/4 - Hard games to, but relaxing kind of fun like Anno 2070 is. Something about good city builders/trading games!

- Terraria - Nice relaxing indie game, I just love building HUGE castles and houses in this game!!!! Sometimes Ill play it while im watching a movie, nice and relaxing no doubt about it.

Point n click adventure games are my favourite relaxing games. I replay the old classics all the time, but also newer ones like The Whispered World, The Next Big Thing, Gemini Rue and Gray Matter.

Definitely have to go with GTA IV or Flight Sim X.

Basically driving around, listening to the radio, no quests to complete, just drive.

Doesn't get more relaxing than that.

Yeah, that's why I like test drive unlimited 2. Just cruise around a pretty island, exploring backroads and stuff.

Usually i go for a session of Blacklight: Retribuiton, to relax blowing heads, or maybe some sims 3 till i fall asleep of boredom. Or if everything else fails, just search for a random funny let's player on youtube and laught of his inaptitude on playing games.
