Games I find awesome: Fable - The Lost Chapters, Vampires the masquerade bloodlines, Spore, Borderlands, Fallout 3, Devil May Cry, Assassin's Creed, Crysis, Thief III: Deadly Shadows, Splinter Cell, No One Lives Forever (awesome combination of stealth game and RPG). Ok I can't play some of the games I mentioned but I saw them on my bro's PC. So I need u ppl to recommend me some games similar to these... as you can see I mostly like adventure-action, RPGs - not boring repetitive ones... I mean I really liked Diablo but other games like it are just boring... Titan Quest, Sacred, Dungeon Siege are all the same to me... They aren't bad but I can't find anything interesting in them... oh and no strategy games... nothing interesting develops in these... So I need you to help me find interesting games that'll work on my pc basically my problem is my graphics card ATI Radeon 9600 till I get a better pc... I know it's a very general difficult question... BTW, I did try looking in gamespot but it's very difficult to find exactly what I want for my graphic card... Any ideas? Another thing: Neverwinter Nights and Star Wars - KOTOR aren't very full of action... I meant I'm looking for games you actually do something. More than just clicking on enemies, waiting for the job to be done. Games like Fable or Vampire Bloodlines where you actually fight... Just like this guy said: :) http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=25664394 Real-time rpgs might be the definition indeed. I think I'll try Jade Empire for now... but could there really be no more games for me to play :( Please help me. Thanks in advance :)

I remember that the only games i played when i had a ATI 9600 were Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Fable: The Lost Chapters (both are REALLY good games, Fable is short though)

Go to sysreqlabs and look at games you like and click can you run it. It will be able to tell you better then us listing every game with requirements lower than that card. Don't be surprised if you can't run any games released in the past couple years. Games I recommend? Get the Orange box, and original half life if you never played it before.

Why don't you just look up a game you think you'd be interested in and check the specs for it.

There are probably 100's of games that will run on that card so why bother with us listing games when you might not even be interested in them.

Like I mentioned in my first post, I have already searched for games that I like and that seem great but I can't run almost all of them. I tried. Jade Empire is also a really great game! Any other games like it? The problem here at GameSpot is that the "similar games" thingy isn't very accurate... Jade Empire and Diablo are nothing alike to me. I would consider Fable: The Lost Chapters, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines and Jade Empire to be in the same category whatever you wanna call it. But absolutely not Diablo. Anyways, I tried looking for games but I couldn't find any that are good for my graphic card. That's why I'm asking you... like I said... I'm asking for your help and not out of laziness...

You can play HL2 and CSS. To the people who say you cant : I maxed those games on a 9800, so a 9600 should def be able to play on medium

Half-Life 2 runs great on it, as does Counter Strike Source.

I used to run them both on my old computer which had that GPU.

I remember that everything before Battlefield 2 (before 2005 that is) ran quite well on my 9600.

OK this might sound fussy but... These are not RPGs: Painkiller, Battlefield, Warhammer, Half-Life, Counter Strike At least not like the games I mentioned... About Dragon Age Origins..... come on... it won't work on my pc (tried it) and it has no action except clicking on enemies... Any other ideas? Sorry about me being picky and annoying... :)

Morrowind is nothing like oblivion. You may be insulting fans of both games by saying that :P

My 9600 Pro ran:

CS:S and Half Life just fine

Doom 3 was jerky

C&C: Generals and WC3 ran fine (if you're into RTS's)

FEAR ran, but I had to turn the graphics down to medium/highish

Quake 3, if you wanna go old school

Sure there's more, but it's been a while.

.... or you could get a video card that is somewhat current for today's games starting at $50

Lol. You're missing my point. None of the games mention in the last 3 posts are RPGs. :) About Morrowind: I heard from someone who played Oblivion and Morrowind and I saw pictures... it really looks the same... And I heard the monster system is the same which, in my opinion, is the worst thing in Oblivion. The idea that the monsters get stronger as you get stronger ruined the game for me. It took out the fun of doing sidequests since later you can try and finish the game and super hard mode or you could simply do no sidequests and finish the game easily. But again - off the topic. Any other ideas please? RPGs :)

I think the guy who said Dragon Age is confused. This is a 2002 card. Have you tried Mafia or Max Payne? They are both excellent.

EDIT: Not RPGs but great games.

Get a new GPU, something better won't cost very much at all.
