Buying the cheapest TV for any given TV size usually isn't a good idea. Why waste a few hundred dollars on a piece of junk?

I agree, If you really want to get the best out of your ps3's graphics you should look to spend at least $1000 for a 32", but you could go as low as $700 and still find a good one.

I think you could find a good tv for $700 easily. Look for price drops at Circuit city or Best buy and make sure that the tv is at least a Samsung, Sony or a Panasonic for LCD's. I'm not familiar with plasmas.

I'm personally looking into a 32 inch LCD at the moment, the Panasonic Viera at 120 Hz, 8500:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 6 ms response time is looking really appealing to me. It's only 720p, but at that size it doesn't matter, because you won't notice but the other specs are extremely appealing. This tv is currently selling for $1150, so it's a little high on the cost range for a 32 inch, but when it comes to quality, your getting the most bang for the buck and with a view distance of only 5 feet in my room, the size of the screen is not going to matter.

So if I were you, I would save a little extra and jump for quality. It's worth it for the long run.

Well if you are willing to order online, They have some really good brand name TV's at www.frys.com. I orderd two 32" samsung LNT3253 LCDs there and they are amazing. I got them for $699 each. I think they went up $100 from that now but it is still a good price.

Honestly, you won't need to spend big money for a good gaming experience. I have a 26 in. Magnavox 720p/1080i HDTV, and my image is amazing. I paid $440 at Target for it, and have no regrets. The bigger names may give you a better image, and I do want one eventually, but I don't think they're $300-400 better. Seriously, you could go with a cheaper Magnavox, Philips, Olevia, or Vizio tv and won't be disappointed. Fork up the big bucks for a 1080p set.
