What I hate is when you go to a website that says it has the cheat codes for a particular game and you print them out all excited about finally moving on from a very tight spot you have suffered through multiple times. Then when you enter them they don't work. At all. The game doesn't even remotely recognize the entries. These are cheats for PC which is what I needed. Very specific. Why do people pretend to know something and then go so far as to cast the bogus information ontl the net? Weird. By the way, does anyone know of a website that is realiable in regard to cheat codes? I have no health, no ammo, and no hope of making it through the throngs of baddies I have to fight to reach my goal. I need cheats! Oh yeah! Thanks.

I feel your pain. I had a game that I couldn't get past a spot because it was just to hard for me. I wasn't alone in this as there was a workaround on the net but it required downloading someone elses saved game or sending yours off to be played by someone and sent back. Way to much hassle when all that was nessacery would have been a cheat code to get past that level. I've also had your problem with Crysis. I fought to the end of level 3 and the game wouldn't let the level end right. I played the whole level again to no avail. I looked up cheat codes, found some, and they didn't work. One of these days I may go back and try it again but I'm not sure.:evil:
It depends on the game. When you look for single player cheats, check more than 1 website. if the cheats are the same, they are likely legitimate, so you should try them.
Often times with a patched version of the game, some cheats will stop working or new ones will be required - do your research when looking up cheats.
And yeah some games simply don't have cheats - gota get a Trainer or savegame. (And even for those, you need to check the version of the game to make sure its the same)
I finally got through the "roadblock". After so many tries and my anger induced determination I managed to get to a point with about a namo-smidgen of health left. I was able to arm up with a new weapon, some health, and a new resolve to not give the other guy a break in any future battles. No cheats exist for this game. Only handy tricks and inside tips to defeat one's enemy. It would have been so nice though. I have used walkthroughs, god mode, and forums to move games along. This can salvage a $50 game from buyer's remorse. What I don't like is when someone decides to pretend to know something they truly don't. At work, school, dating, and in business, etc. Liars suck. Thanks to all for your input. We are a band of brothers in this forum.
GTA would really drag without the health + armor cheat, and maybe the cop cheat. Wouldn't be fun running around to find health and armor before/during every mission
I don't know if you can even 'cheat' in oblivion. The term is so loose when there are so many mods that can change gameplay completely. I agree though that vanilla oblivion is **** compared to modded oblivion :D
