Rocket Jockey. Okay, so it's a really, REALLY OLD title(released in 1996), and it doesn't support LAN play until you patch it. Worse off, you need a special patch to install it under Windows 2000 or XP. Finally, you'll probably have to eBay this game, since most stores probably don't carry 1996 games on their shelves. (You'll only need one disc, though-only the host has to have the disc inserted. I wish you could do that more often with modern games for LAN multiplayer.) But it's worth it, because few things are more fun than tormenting your friends by yanking them by the face with your rocket bike's grappling cables and tying them to other things, such as other flying rocket bikes, pylons, bombs, other jockeys, or any combination of the above! Other than that, I can't think of many other games that would be good with just a four-player LAN...Wait a minute! Freespace! The four of you can fly co-op missions and kick some ass together! And some sort of legal loophole makes it free to download! (Just make sure to take some time and set up the controls well, especially if you don't have four joysticks, each with four axes, a hat switch for views, and at least four buttons. In that case, I'd turn on the mouse, which allows precision aiming, and bind W and S to accelerate and decelerate, and then A and D for rolling left and right. Or E, D, S, and F if you're like me and prefer that layout instead.) System Shock 2 also has some sort of co-op mode, but I've never had the opportunity to try it.

Titan Quest or Starcraft

/thread

P.S: SWAT 4's coop crushes Vegas'. Vegas has a very boring campaign for single-player and it's no more fun in multi.

Starcraft is always fun with 3 people playing, especially when each person is a different army (Terran, Zerg, and Protoss). Also, Starcraft: Battle Chest is around $10, and can run on almost any computer.

Any RTS really, Age of Empires 3, Rise of Nations, C&C, all would be great to take each other on or gang up against a few CPUs

You don't have to post in them, or even read them for that matter, stop being a troll to everybody that posts on these forums, if you don't have a suggestion for him or anything productive to post, don't post at all, simple as that.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter with campaign co-op of course. Its cheap Its. Good Its. Patched to near perfection.

*Edit

Actually Unreal Tournament 2004 is an excellent game since its only about 10-15 dollars, you can install it on multiple computers, run each one without a disk, and its just fun play TDM against AI in God Mode or playing DM against each other.

C&C3 is pretty cool, but it wouldnt last as long as some action RPG games like titan quest
