WoW already has a well built up community, whereas AoC is still being built basically

I've been enjoying Guild Wars for some time now. I really like the fact that the standard kill quota quests and body part collection quests that are so over used in other MMO's are not that present in Guild Wars. Another good point are the henchmen and heroes. If you get sick of trying to find a group to hook up with you can grab the henchmen and go. They are not all that bright but they do get the job done.

I recommend starting with Giuld Wars: Nightfall. The original Guild Wars is the next best choice.

Me and my uncle both just purchased Nightfall, and we're having good fun just questing.

wow look at those hours logged in, i'm pretty sure this is an unbiased opinion. If you like manliness, Go AoC. If not, just go with the former unbiased opinion

*ashamed*

If you're new to the MMO market i suggest you try out WoW, It's very easy to get into and and overal a very polished up game. You can get a free demo of the game from thier website.

AoC is abit harder to get used to at the start but just feels like any other MMO once you get abit higher level which is good and bad, you decide. AoC does have alot of bugs currently in game but that's normal for an MMO launch so they 'should' be patched up soon.

AoC also has pretty high demands for your PC so if your PC isn't up to scratch then i'm pointing in the WoW direction even more.

Dang... That's a lot of hours.

I suggest multiple FTP MMOs and PTP MMOs below:

Free To Play:

  1. Mabinogi - http://mabinogi.nexon.net/
  2. Secret of the Solstice - http://solstice.outspark.com/
  3. Fiesta - http://fiesta.outspark.com/
  4. Dreamlords: The Reawakening - http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/dreamlordstr/
  5. ZU Online - http://zu.igg.com/

Pay To Play:

  1. World of Warcraft
  2. Final Fantasy XI (Yeah, I know, but I like it)
  3. Guild Wars
  4. Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures
  5. City of Heroes

Try EVE online. I've only heard great things about it. I'm about to play the trial of it now. :)

Don't go for wow it sucks i would get age of conan. It has more of a rpg feel to it. wow the graphics is so out of date and cartoony!! their pvp system sucks. in age of conan you can build castles and destroy them. The other mmorpg would be guild wars because it's free to play. you can fight with your mounts

wow is so out of date and old. it has no story line un like gw and age of conan. wow is for like little kids lol I mean look at it it's a cartoon.

Get WoW because it is perfect for your first MMO and the more you play it gets more and more complex which acutally makes it enjoyable.
