I'm thinking about OCing my cpu on air. I don't want to do anything too high because I'm sticking with my stock cooler. Any figures on what a decent overclock for the 940 would be on air?

My cores sit at 40 C at idle and 50 C at load while playing games like ME2 for example.

3.2 GHz to 3.4 GHz would be the absolute max with the stock cooler, imo. You should be able to get to 3.2 w/o changing the voltages. It would also depend on how good the airflow is in your case. If your case doesn't have good airflow I wouldn't even try overclocking. Try running Prime95 or Linx to stress your cpu before overclocking and see what your max temps are. You don't want the temp on any core to get above 85 degrees (celsius). I would suggest getting an aftermarket cooler for any overclocking, though. You don't necessarily have to get an expensive one just one that is better than the stock cooler.

Thanks man.

I'll give 3.2 a try.
