I have heard that it will be coming out soon and I looked on their website, but it doesn't give much information on it. Do you guys know anything else about it?

Internet2 isn't "coming out" soon. It basically something being used by a number of universties and a few companies for research and educational purposes. Mainly dealing with implementing new network technology.

Internet2 is . . . well . . . internet 2. Basically a lot of univeristies, and I'm guessing the military since the internet did start out as a defense project, are taking what they've learned from the internet so far and developing a better faster internet. I wouldnt expect it to "come out" but rather slowly replace the existing internet in the years to come.
