What is it with MMO

I'd say that EVE is pretty different.

The gameplay hasn't changed in any other genre either.

Ya, every MMO has a similiar formula.

Just like every shooter has a similiar formula

Just like every RTS has a similiar formula

Just like every driving game has a similiar formula.

Whats my point? Well, they have to have some similiarities, thats why its called a "genre".

However, an MMOFPS is different from an MMORPG, just like a standard RPG is different from an FPS.

I'd say EVE Online, Puzzle Pirates and Sword of the New World are the most different MMOs I have played.

Currently playing EVE Online again and I'm having fun. Not into Pirating just yet, waiting to pilot the good stuff.
