I have an SLi motherboard, and I was wondering what is needed for dual-gfx cards. I'm aware they need to be the exact same card, I was just wondering if it'll work if I just plug a duplicate into the other PCI-e slot, or if it needs a special driver, etc. Oh, and I currently have an evga 8600 GT with a gig of vram, so how many watts does my power supply need to be in order to run another card in SLi mode?

You need an SLI PSU also, A decent 600w one should do the trick.

Thanks, but do I need to configure them a certain way? My computer is already set up with one card, and I need to know if I just plug another one in alongside it.

the above pic shows four cards in sli.

You'd only have two like this pic

Its easy to do, put your second card in your other pci-e slot, pop the bridge onto them, and the Nvidia drivers will detect the cards are sli capable when you hit the desktop and ask if you wanna enable sli.

The sli bridge should have come with your motherboard, look in the box.

They dont have to be the exact same, my friend has a 9800gt and an 8800 gt but with sli they work fine.
