I am upgrading my CPU processor for Christmas and I figured I might as well upgrade me GPU while I am at it. I currently have a Geforce PNY 8800gt and was looking around the market for an affordable graphics card that would still upgrade my current card pretty well. I have come across the GeForce GTX 470 and really like what I see. Also, it will not break my wallet. I checked the specs and everthing and it will work with my Mobo. I was hoping you guys could give me some feedback and offer your opinions on GeForce GTX 470. Is it a good buy or are there better GPU's that are PCI 2.0 x 16 that I could get for around 250.00? If you do think it is a good buy, than what brand should I get? Here is the specific one that I was thinking, but again, I won't make a final decision until after I read all the feedback I am given.

Get the one you have linked to from EVGA. EVGA offers a lifetime warranty on that gpu as long as you register it within 30-days of purchase. I have two of them in SLI.

My personal go to Nvidia MF is EVGA. Gigabyte, Asus, MSI, and Zotac are all pretty good as well.

This makes no sense, EVGA don't do anything for Intel, and Intel dont make GPU's, those rubbish integrated ones don't count.

I am also considering the 470, but looking at the 570, it gives a pretty good up in performance. I am not one to recommend spending more money than you have to, and the 470 seems to give quite decent performance at its price, and it's $100 cheaper than the GTX570.
