What is the best fps to get this year? CoD4, Crysis, Bioshock?

What is the best fps to get this year? There is so much choice and I've had a go at the CoD4 demo and I liked that. What do you think? Crysis sounds great, but it keeps getting delayed. There's also Bioshock and Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway as a historic option. Blacksite: Area 51 and The Orange Box are other options. What's the best value for money and the best game overall?

Im having high hopes about CoD4 since the demo kicked ass, and Crysis looks good aswell. And im gonna check out Orange Box as soon its installed on my comp. But I think that atleast one of these three will get it, BlackSite looks kinda average but it might be great. If id actully played Crysis or Bioshock I would probally comment all little more on those. But in my opinion it comes down to these three.

I think Bioshock is the best so far and I don't think any other FPS will beat it. The CoD4 demo didn't impress me at all and Crysis doesn't seem to have any story at all.ikwal

Crysis does have a story.

I think Crysis is a technological winner, but I doubt it's going to be an end all FPS winner.

Bioshock's story and atmosphere was extremely appealing - a must play game.

Orange Box is definately winner for "value" considering the absolutely massive amount of playability included.

COD4 will be the end-all multiplayer game of the year.

I think you should wait for the crysis demo which comes out at the end of this month. then decide but I think crysis will live up to the hype.

I think you need more than demos and betas to decide. Why not wait for actual games to come out and play them all the way through before you decide? Would you give out the Oscar to a movie you have just seen a trailer of?

Considering two of the games arent out yet, technically Bioshock is the best out of the three. Personally I thought it was vanilla.

My money is on CoD4...its got the popular name, and it should be good.

Crysis...idunno. It is either gone be amazing, or its gonna bomb (likely due to hardware issues). I would definately like Crysis to win, but its not a sure thing to me.

Portal, Half life 2: episode 2 and TF2 are the best fps games this year hands down !! :D-Origin-

well portal is technically a puzzel game, but I'll agree about the other two. Quite simply amazing.

Ya, vanilla. As in average, ordinary, nothing special. Sometimes its good....but a game hyping itself to be so great (in addition to the fan hype) should not be vanilla. Doom 3, Quake 4, even FEAR....those are vanilla (sometimes with sprinkles!). But Bioshock shouldnt have been, and it was.

UT3 (and mainly UT series as a whole) has been my favorite fps title so far. This game will have a great community to back it up and one thing I always put ontop of my "Most Wanted List" is the community aspect and how the gamer(s) are able to interact with the game and make it their own to share amongst the world. I"m sure Crysis, COD4, and many other fps titles coming out this year will be superb, but UT3 just takes the cake just for the dedication that [Epic] has been put into this game to be for gamers by gamers who love originality and creativity.

but personally, I think it will. 9.5 AT LEAST! I'm betting on 10 but we'll see. Gamespot is funny like that sometimes. Man Crysis looks just plain amazing.
