Keep in mind....................

  • $1000 budget
  • Using for ps3/360 gaming and blu ray movies
  • No smaller than 26", and no bigger than 32"
  • Quality HDTV, known of those lcd's that you can find at Super K and Wal mart!
  • No pc monitors please, 1080p at 24" is hardly noticable and I need something that I can watch cable T.V on!

Consumer Reports - a very trusted publication that has provided me with many great purchases, recommends tvs from the name brand Olevia. Look at getting an Olevia 532h. It's only $629 at officemax.com. It's a little more at other places. Office max lets you buy it online, but return it to a store if you have problems. Also, it comes with a one-year in home warranty that covers parts and labor. CR rated it just as high as Sony and Samsung. Go to Olevia.com for more info and more stores you can buy it from. Wait for a sale then get it ;)

Neelyboy, that HDTV is not true 1080P...

Westinghouse 37", 8MS, 1000:1, 1920 x 1080P, LCD TV I hear this is the best display you can get right now and I sweet talked my mum into getting one... :P

Lots of pictures if you want to see it in action

Thanks for the link, but 37" is a little big for my bedroom.  Besides with those pics of the westy in action I could hardly tell the difference between Star Wars in 1080p and Casino Royal in 720p.  I've also heard that the differance between 1080p and 720p HDtv's under 40" is very, very minimal.  Not only that but I've heard some bad things about the 37" 1080p westy and westinghouse customer service.

You wouldn't have any links to pictures of the Samsung Bordeux models in action by any chance, would ya?
