Look just leave it yea, clearly by the pathetic poll you made that only included RPG & RTS (Typical Console Fan Boy generilization, yet PC has the best FPS aswell).

polls like these are so self-defeatist, it's almost impossible to have a significant number of votes for any of the games unless you have a few thousand people voting, because the majority will pick their own options that, invariably, are not to be found on the list 

and this is a particularly bad poll, as these things go - especially considering how one of the games on the list doesn't even exist yet

myself, i would pick system shock 2 and doom if i had to pick, but then again, there's a distinction to be made between best and favourite - it's pretty much impossible to lay out every game and objectively assess each game in relation to every other and decide on a single superior game - which is better, half life 2 or company of heroes? how do you even begin to evaluate them in direct comparison, when they are so utterly different?

and also, halo is very mediocre by pc standards, and it's no coincidence that people who've been playing fps games since 1993 pretty much entirely believe this, while people first introduced to the fps genre with halo believe it is the lord our god

just wait till halo wars rolls out, it'll be the best rts ever made - heh

Age of Empires 1 & 2 are simply fantastic :), The Gameplay is excellent and the graphics are... *decent*

I voted Oblivion, coz I think it's the best on the presented list... Baldurs Gate 2 however, is what I consider to be the best PC game 'of all time' even though I don't really play it anymore.

Oh... and I think Halo is mediocre :wink:

Its also PC next month, and no doubt Halo 3 will follow months after release.

Diablo 3 doesnt even exist.

The list sucks completely.

 If you're going by sales and reviews, the best games for PC are Myst, The Sims, and Half-Life & Half-Life 2.

Oh, and THERE WILL NOT BE A DIABLO 3. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN. GITOVRIT.

The list to begin with sucks. Is that the best you can get? Second the list is too random. There's not a diablo 3 (which will probably suck like the previous ones). Third what exactly do you mean. Which is the best out of these five or are you taking as granted that these are the best ever PC games and should vote for the best of the best. If the case is the latter when did you start playing PC games, yesterday? Oblivion and WOW are not the only only games in the world you know. Civ 4 was good but can't compare to civ2. The consolish crap that had you roaming endlessly in an empty and boring world called Oblivion is not a good game or an rpg either. Halo sucks too. The most stupid action/shooter ever. Try Far Cry, Half Life, Max Payne games that should be on the list. phantom5242

I complety agree with you Far Cry, Halfe Life(although I don't like it) and Max Payne one and two should be on the list

 Neither of them feel anywhere near a realistic gun, games are games. You have to experience the pop and recoil of a real automatic gun to compare a game controller to a real weapon meant to kill. 

Halo is not mediocre or overrated. It is an amazing game and has one of the best development teams. In case you haven't noticed, most games microsoft releases are insane. Halo, Gears of War, All the Flight Sims. The best FPS is Half-Life 2. It has an in-depth story line, good graphics, and is all-around the most well made FPS of all time. CnC3 and Supreme Commander are both amazing strategy games. The biggest game of 2007 will be Halo 3 or Crysis, no doubt about it. Crysis stems from Far Cry, which was one of the biggest titles when it came out, and it was another step of evolution for graphics. The cry and unreal engines are supporting todays most powerful games, so watch most games that come from those. 

i say company of heroes :) love that RTS feels so real like if i was in it and y didn't any1 else pick CoH :( u have to like it

PC games suck -- just KIDDING!..... I dont play PC games cuz my PC aint got the power, but I voted WoW, geuss Oblivion is the winner!

I wanna upgrade my PC to play some PC games cuz the online is always there and always free, except for MMO......So yeah, PC games rule!
