If you want a fast attack but less damage go Axe. If you want decent attack and decent damage go sword. If you want slow attack and high damage go hammer. MattUD1
False....
Sword has fast/fastest attack, low damage but low range meaning consistent damage, and bleed effects...
Axes are slower but do much more damage, but have a further dmg range meanings ome its you wil hit for a ton others you will not.. Axes damage comes from huge direct damage moves where you can instantly deep wound a guy unlike swords which they msut be bleeding first.. A good 1/3 or more of the enemies do not bleed on top of that.. Which means axes do not need to worry about it..
Hammers have the highest damage, large range of damage, and are the slowest.. They excel at knock downs and disruption, and can do the most damage in one hit usually.. Unfortantly larger enemies can't be knocked down which takes out your ability to deep wounds..
In the end its a toss up.. One thing that is hard is the fact they are so well balanced that you will do good with any weapong roup.. The problem for me is I try to be the best I can, in a enviroment like this I am really indecisive.
