What is the greatest threat to the pc and more specifically gaming pcs?

1. mobile phones... just look at what M$ is doing with mobile windows

2. Tablets... look at what M$ is doing to windows 8

Gaiming...

3. Consoles... I can't even buy a sports game, halo 3, or tons of other games and when I can it is a port or released months or years later.

4. What are you talking about, pcs and gaming pcs are as strong as ever?

Just bored and wanted to dive deeper into the future state of pcs and gaming pc in partcular.

Threat to consumer level products and well is not like they can trick other businesses with overpricing hardware anyway. So still a threat T.T

Online streaming will kill off the "hardcore" PC gaming i.e. building your own PC etc. If anything the Onlive type service will help (hopfully) bring back the good type of PC games with large scale maps etc since they will be running off decent servers.
