What is your best/most favorite shooter that you have ever played?

For me there are three(3) games that are equally my best and most favorite shooters, and they are Half-Life 2(PC,PS3,360) and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.(PC) games and Mass Effect(360). Also I think that Borderlands will be a great shooter as well, and that it may just be added to my list.

- I have had Half-Life 2 on PC since it was first released back in late 2004 and I have The Orange Box on PS3 and 360 since they were released in late 2007. I think that even by todays standards that Half-Life 2 is still one of the best shooter experiences in videogames, and not many other shooters come close. I really do think that it is that great of a videogame.
- As for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.(PC) games they are more of a cult type favorite as not many people seem to like them or have even heard of them, but if you have played them then you may understand just how great they really are. To me these are like an RPG shooter without really any RPG elements in it, but overall they are one of the best shooter games in videogame history. I wish that more shooter games would be more like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.
- I have had the Mass Effect Limited Collector's Edition since it was released in late 2007 and I just couldn't be anymore happier with this game, as it is the best sci-fi space shooter ever in videogame history. It is my overall favorite Xbox360 videogame which is until Mass Effect 2 comes out. I really just can't say enough about this great game, but I will just say that I really like it alot.
- Okay Borderlands I just know that it will be soo awesome and a really great game. It will be so great atleast to me that I am getting it on Xbox360(pre-order at Gamestop) and on PS3(rent and then buy from Gamefly). I will mostly be playing the single player and some online play every now and then, as I really just can't wait to play it.

So what is your best/most favorite shooter that you have ever played?

Half-Life and it's sequel.

• Team Fortress 2

In that order Blood, Half life series, duke nukem 3d, Unreal ( 1st one), unreal tournament,Sysytem shock, Aliens vs Predator 2, Crysis, Stalker ( although stalker might take on crysis place after the many bug fixes and the amazing stalker complete 2009 mod)

To be very honest bud, Goldeneye 007 N64 is by far the best shooter, especially in terms of multiplayer still today. There are quite some incredible shooters available, but Goldeneye 007 for the N64 is by far the epitome. For specifically PC, I will say Counter Strike due to the zombie mod add-on additionally of an already marvelous shooter.

Call of Duty 4 ... my first shooter and it was just perfect.

Call of Duty 5 was also very good but modern is just better.

Crysis was cool just for the graphics and the suit.

Half-Life 2

Standard FPS in single player: Half-Life 2.

Hybrid FPS/RPG: Deus Ex.

Multiplayer FPS: Call Of Duty United Offensive and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

Best third person shooter:Max payne series

Best first person shooter: Doom series.

And with co-op, Army of Two was really fun.

Half-Life.

Halflife 2, plus expansions. No game has yet to immerse me the way these did

Crysis, and expansion. Redefined the genre imo; amazing gameplay, smart AI, awesome environment, vehicles, awesome multiplayer

Far Cry. Cant tell you why, but this game really impressed me.

Freedom Fighters. Overlooked third-person shooter; it had great gameplay, a good plot, and loveable characters...it was like being in the movie Red Dawn, only in New York and not Montana or whatever.

Half Life, Call of Duty, Crysis

Crusader No Remorse is my favorite shooter game.

FPS would be Quake, Quake 2, Duke Nukem 3D for old school... never could play Doom well enough to be fun.

SS2, Dues Ex, Fallout 3, and Mass Effect for FPS/RPG hybrids.

Favorite FPS new would be HL2 and Doom 3.

To many problems in Crysis for me to be a favorite.

Nolf 1/2 HL 1 and the expacs/2 and EP1+2ACEHERO

Don't know how I could have forgotten the NOLF games. They were great.

COD4 was the best I ever played.

Doom & Doom 2, Duke 3D, Quake and Half-Life. Half-Life 2 and Bioshock aregreat too, but I definitely spent less time playing those ones.
