What is your favorite game franchise/series ?

Mine would have to be the Silent hill series. This series is not cut out for everyone but for me it is perfect. The creepy atmosphere of the game is second to none in mu opinion. It has a sheer creepy essence that no other game can compare to. Sure some games have some nice scares, but were talking about creepiness here. Also the deep mental meaning behind the games are absolutely amazing. The games really leave you with questions and give you this sort of mind work out.

I love these games and will always be my favorite game series. What about you guys, what series do you just absolutely love.

My favourite would be the Battlefield franchise.
Great theme music and great gameplay. Always a popular game with tons of servers to play on.

I guess I can think of many others but that one would be my favourite.

warcraft, and I havent even played wow. Not much on the console side like others here, growing up I had a nintendo, then I got an xbox as my next console purchase after I hated xp so much. The 360 reminded me why I never really liked console gaming, and the ps3 kinda got in as a trojan horse blu-ray player.

I've recently been playing Half-Life 2 again, and I think possibly the Half-Life series gets this award now. Either that or Max Payne 1+2.
