I love the old point and click games like the quest for glory series, Myst Games, and Leisure Suit Larry Games. I've been away from the P.C. for a while because of a lack of good Basketball games, but I"m starting to come back to P.C. games.

Play wise I like FPS's, but I like depth/longevity in a game so i'd really have to say anything with a RPG element in it. Two great games that blended these two genes are Deus Ex and System Shock 2. I think a lot of developers are starting to wake up and putting rpg elements in their games.
Oh, that's a tough one. I'm unbelievably divided between Rpg and Strategy games. Command & Conquer or Baldur's Gate? Warcraft or Icewind Dale? Starctaft or Planescape: Torment? Tough choice, but in the end I would choose Rpgs since I can handle rpgs better and because, more importantly, Planescape: Torment is my favorite game. Unrivaled and unsurpassed as of yet.
RPGs by far! And I mean real RPGs, not Diablo 2. My favoutire games are Gothic, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Fallout, Planescape:Torment, The Temple of Elemental Evil, Vampire:The Masquerade... I might be missing some, but you get the idea.
Still I seldom miss a good title no matter the genre. If it socres above 8 on gamerankings, I usually play it :P. I play RTS and FPS quite often. I even play space simulators if they are good enough. I'm currently struggling with X3:Reunion (great game).
FPS and Action-RPG is perfect for PC. I would like to see more Action-Adventure (God of War or something) and maybe some more Racing games for PC, but I guess they play better on consoles.

Burnt out on FPS games...now I play Oblivion stlye RPG's to kill time, but for serious gaming...Racing Sims w/a decent wheel/pedal setup is the only way to play!
FPS + RTS + RPG = the Holy Trinity of my gaming life. I also dabble in other genres like racing, third-person action and versus fighting every now and then, but primarily sticks with the above three.
It is a tie between FPS and RTS, FPS used to be my favourite. But with the scarcity of great tactical shooters and the emergence of some amazing RTS titles the situation has changed.
