u know just to score things out but its really uselesss in my opinion and i dont care much about it.i had a 4.2 with my dual 7800GT's, since i moved to one 8800GT, it's now a 5.6.
i really have no clue what that means tho.
wheezal
5.9 on everything but the cpu which got a 5.7 (intel 3 ghz e8400).
I did a test and removed all my ram except 1 gig, and my memory rating went from 5.9 down to 4.3. The vista rating doesn't make much sense, my old PC was pretty much budget crap and scored almost the same.
None... cause I don't use Visux, I mean Vista.SSJBenI'm waiting to see how long it'll be until Vienna, the real replacement to XP, is released. Vista is supposedly repeating the role of Windows 2000...
5.9 here, but Vista has a pretty bad scoring system. It gave my old hardware a 5, which was 2gb RAM/ATI X800 XL 256mb/Pentium 4 3ghz :P. 8800 GTX, E6600, 4gb RAM FTWwis3boilol @ your sig

Vienna = Windows 7.
And Mr. Gates just said that its coming at the end of 2009. Coincidence?

for your E8400 I got 5.7 aswell but now its 5.9 cause I overlocked it to 4.2Ghz however you just need to OC to about 3.4-3.6Ghz to achieve 5.9 & it shouldnt be a hassle for the E8400 esp since all I did was put my cpu in go to bios change to 4.2ghz & just added abit more voltage & to my surprise it loaded windows up without problems & even ran 3Dmark06 nicely & games are soo smooth all I did was just TWO step in the bios lol so hard to belive

Nice, thanks for the tip! I'm just using the stock fan so in the future whenever I get a bigger heatsink it'll be fun to try to get some extra juice from it! I couldn't get a safe temp from anything over 3.2ghz
nobody i have seen gets above 5 :S mine is 5.9 and its the same rating as maxishine :?
weird as my rig is inferior four-fold.
How do you check?NoAssKicker47Start→Control Panel→System. You should be able to take it from there. Anyway, my score is 5.9 across the board...well, expect for my hard drive, rated at 5.8. Changing from IDE emulation to AHCI didn't bump it up...

only, its lasted for more than 6 months.
processor: 5.7
memory: 5.8
graphics: 5.9
gaming graphics: 4.8
hdd: 5.4 :?
overall: 4.8
not a very good rating system if you ask me, your overall score is based on your lowest? and how does my hdd get such a low score when its standard? None of this adds up at all.
I dont know but the HDD and RAM scores of vista are all messed up.Maybe it's just that it's messed up or maybe it has something to do with some bad configuration or some setting perhaps.processor: 5.7
memory: 5.8
graphics: 5.9
gaming graphics: 4.8
hdd: 5.4 :?
overall: 4.8

Windows Vista rating is not important for knowing if your pc can handle games on full specs; it is just for the overall Vista perfomance so that test is crap. Anyway mine is 3.0. That sucks!kishmish
While not a true gaming benchmark by any means, if you get a 5.9 across the board (like me and others), your rig will be playing very well at high settings on current gen games. A 3.0 probably means your rig is playing stuff at lower rez and med to low settings, am I right?

Not really. That guy's 6600GT got a 4.8 and pentium 4's get in the 4's.3 would be really terrible for gaming.Vista scores really mean nothing IMO.I mean an E2160 at 3Ghz get's the same score as a stock E8400?And all 8800 level or better cards get a 5.9 so what's the point.
