I've currently got a pretty mixed multi monitor setup. A 22", a 24" and a 26" TV. Since I got a 5870, I've been playing with the thought of selling the PC monitors (not the TV) and getting 3 new ones for Eyefinity.

My first dilemma is how much I'll get for my monitors, because I don't want to spend too much. My main, a Dell 2407WFP-HC used to be pretty expensive, but they don't get made anymore. Is it still one of the better monitors out there? I haven't been able to find any prices for it, so does anyone have a good estimate for what it's worth?

The second monitor is an LG Flatron W2253TQ, it's still pretty new and all. It's got good response time, and it's probably alright for gaming, but the colors aren't the best (at least not compared to the Dell). I'm not really sure how to price this either, being used.

My biggest issue is probably what monitors to get though. Since i only have one 5-series card, I have to get monitors with active displayport connectors. I'm thinking 22" monitors, because 24"s will be too expensive, and the extra resolution will slaughter performance. 120hz monitors would be nice, but they are probably also going to be too expensive. So, bearing in mind how much I could get for my current monitors, what would be ideal for an Eyefinity setup?

Thanks in advance!

350 USD for the Dell probably. As for the LG, something around 300 USD would have been nice.

EDIT: Well, actually I'd be hoping for something closer to 400 with the Dell, cause it's a damn good monitor.

$400 doesnt sound unreasonable for that Dell. did you pay around 550-600? Seems pretty good. Espeically if u hype it up - saying how great and perfect it is etc..

Monitors (and most other computer hardware) for most people are like cars- once they're out of the box, you can go ahead and chop off a big chunk of the original price. You just gotta remember that people are cheap and no one will want to give you as much as you ask. So ask for more than you want/need.
