i am getting ddr3 and i was wondering which ram i shoul dget. should i get 4x1gig sticks or 2x2gig stics.

i would get 2x2, that way you can add more if you need to in the future

google crucial and scan your system with there software and they will tell you which ram is best for your system

i think hes building a new comp and asking what ram he should get for it, not upgrading. Could be wrong tho

If you dont know what brand to get iam sure you wont actually get any benefit from DDR3 RAM,,,its only useful to people who do crazy overclocks. Your be wise to just get 8800Mhz DDR2 RAM if your knowledge on the topic isnt too great.

yeah DDR3 really isnt worth the money as its a very slight upgrade. Youd be better off getting DDR2 and putting the extra money tward a better CPU or GPU

Dude, that would be a huge mistake!

You do realise that the DDR3 RAM by itelf will only give you about 2 extra frames per second compared to DDR2 RAM right?
