Yeah that is bullsh!t. Arkham City does that same thing where you can only download the game 5 times. So stupid.
So did you try download the game 5 times and have it fail, and now it's telling you can't download it?
Ubisofts new platform only allows 5 download "attempts" ? WoW that Uplay store is going to fail horribly.
OP i love your pink aero borders btw;)
Just another reason to buy physical copies of games. :PToxic-SeahorseMost physical copies of games connect to some form of DRM and update anyway. Including the one in your sig.

There's a lot to be said about hypocrisy in this case, but a simple "Some people..." will have to do for now.

But sometimes they should maybe take a few weeks more to optimize the game than release a 5GB Patch ON LAUNCH DAY.
There is about a month's timeframe between when a game goes "gold" and is sent off for mass production than the game's launch date. Instead of developers twiddling their thumbs, they find and squash bugs. Granted, they could delay the game to squash those bugs, but with most people available to decent internet bandwidth, it makes more sense for Day 1 patches.
OP: don't get mad at people not understanding your problem if you don't provide all the information in the first place. However, I do agree that download limits are a horrible way to secure company's game assets.

You make a good point, but it didn't used to happen 10 years ago. These days it's more about deadlines and release dates than product quality sadly.[QUOTE="Toxic-Seahorse"]Just another reason to buy physical copies of games. :PDevilMightCryToo bad a lot of discs now just initiate a downloader. Stupid as fuhk. I've never had that happen to me and I just installed Far Cry 3 off the disc so it's not one of them. What games do that? I'm curious because that is ridiculous. As far as the 5 download limit, it's a bunch of bullsh*t. My internet cuts out quite often as well and it's almost guarenteed to do it on big files like games. Why doesn't Uplay just resume the download like every other DD client out?
Why do you people have such garbag internetJigglyWiggly_Because we're not all rich. Good internet isn't cheap in the U.S.

Huh? I have Comcast xtreme 105 and I'm in the US lol.
If therei s no cable in your area, then I understand.
But even on ATT's HSPA+ network and LTE I don't think I've had any disconnects on my laptop.

I like how you took the prices out of your post, making it completely irrelevant to what I said.[QUOTE="Toxic-Seahorse"][QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"]Why do you people have such garbag internetJigglyWiggly_Because we're not all rich. Good internet isn't cheap in the U.S. I have comcast xtreme 105, Ilive in the US lol. (105$ a month) You can get comcast performance 15 for like 60$ a month. It's fairly reliable provided your signals are good, which the tech should obv make sure before hand. OMG USA is expensive. I get 20Mb broadband with unlimited bandwidth for £20 a month and includes calls and there are cheaper ones out there like TalkTalk 38Mb for £16.50 a month although their customer service rating isn't the best but my provider isn't much better, still gets things done though, just not within the 72 hours they claim, usually closer to 100.

In Aus you pay ~$100/month for a 200GB bundle. Our 500GB bundle is $130. Yep. It is well known that we overpay for internet compared to most of the developed world.

Doesn't the downloader say it's downloading 13 files, and currently 3/13? Seems like its half-way done downloading that file.
I don't see a problem here.
The US is also far bigger. You can't directly compare the US to Europe.JigglyWiggly_Nah there's more to it than that, suppliers in US have a strangehold on internet access and they like it that way. The FCC allows it to happen unlike the UK where the government basically forced BT to let up and allow other companies to use their infrastructure. Sure the size doesn't help but it's not the single cause.
LOL at Americans and other people complaining about Internet Prices. Come down under and have a look at the prices here...FelipeInside
~$16 an hour minimum wage doesn't help that pricing issue you all have. :)

Why does everyone always insist on the minimum wage with Australia? It might be a bit higher but so is everything, Rent, Bills, Internet, etc. Trust me when I say, on minimum wage here, you BARELY live.[QUOTE="Cwagmire21"][QUOTE="FelipeInside"]LOL at Americans and other people complaining about Internet Prices. You all pay $100 for games and make ~$16 minimum wage. We pay $60 for games and have $7.25 minimum wage. It's all relative.
The minimum wage may be high in australia, but so are their insects. grosJigglyWiggly_

I literally have the fastest internet I can get where I live and it's still unbaerably slow. There are places in the world where super fast broadband hasn't reached yet you know, travel a bit and come out of your bubble once in a while.
