What makes you forget.....

Whats a game you played that you feel like nothing else exsists when playing it, because you get so into it?

For me its probably Battlefield 2142, I have my headphones on and put all my settings up to high, and as soon as a match starts I lose thought of everything but winning a war.

System Shock 2 and, recently, GRID.

Not that they're PC games, but I have to mention Silent Hill and Geometry Wars Galaxies, too.

Company of Heros...if I am playing online I simply refuse to stop playing until the game is done xP

and to some extent Crysis...mainly because I use it to test how new PC parts perform.

I was trying to think what kind of games you might play while doing all the things you listed, and, for this one, all I can think of is BioShock.

World of Warcraft it used to be.

But I used to be addicted to many football manager games, and also if anyone remembers Divine Divinity I LOVED that game, I completed it like 4 times.

Pretty much all games I own eventually make me forget and not pay attention to the surrounding reality.

yup, yup. sometimes gears of war and graw as well. but most often, ass creed. naturally.

i don't know if there is such a thing for me. i have all kinds of stuff going on while i play games - sometimes i'm eating, sometimes i'm watching tv at the same time, sometimes i put the game on pause and go do something else, like chores, and sometimes, just sometimes, i'm taking a dump at the same time!fireandcloud

System Shock 2, Kotor and Halo 1 & 2 (in coop of course) pop up in my head. Although I wouldn't say I feel like nothing else exists. I do have to go to the bathroom eventually. Or eat, or sleep. You know 'normal person'-stuff. Not like that psycho in Asia that died after playing online for several days in a row.

Ahhh BF2 used to erase reality for me XD but before that it was HL1. . .no other game immersed me in another wold like that one. A close second would have to be Vietcong when it's all patched up and you don't have to hear any voice acting XD just you, your squad, the jungle and guerrilla warfare. F.E.A.R. scared the piss outa me like it said on the box. The good single player experience is sadly growing shorter :( .
