Thanks for the suggestion =) I think LOTR online is actually free to play now. I only have one pet peave with it (It's small but it keeps me from playing) The ability/tooltip Icons look awkward and out dated. I can't stand looking at them lol.I haven't played many mmo's as much as wow but Lotro was pretty awesome I played it for a couple months. Not sure how its holding up now a days or if many people still play it but its definitely worth a try.

dude, you should wait for Star Wars: The Old Republic. its just going to be plain epic.CrispenzI don't know. Every time I read about the game, it sounds like they forgot about the "MM" part of "MMORPG."
WoW, EVE Online, or LOTRO
There just is no reason to play any other MMO in my opinion, unless you really like the universe it exists in
[QUOTE="Phoenix534"]what is the monthly cost of eve?:) Having a life. :PEvE is $2 on Steam. Get it. Like, now.

Right well lets ignore you. In addition to the games already mentioned Age of Conan is great and has a nice trial, you could try WAR becouse it has some nice PvP, the population is low though. Everquest 2 is a huge game with great variety and more classes to choose from than we get these days. City of Heroes is also a game worthy of playing its got a pretty steady community that will most likely grow a bit in the late summer becouse there will be a new expansion out. On the F2P front you can try Allods. A very pretty and polished game that I am liking so far. The only problem I have with it right now is the small size of the default bag and the need to do a long quest or use cash to get a decent bag. If you are into PvP Aika Online seems to be a good choice with 1000vs1000 player battles...whether this happens I dont yet know since I am in Europe and cant play the game until Aika Global is released.
By WAR do you mean Warhammer online? Also thanks for the recommendations, I'll try and check a few of them out. I've played a few MMO's Age of Conan (At launch) was buggy. I liked it but I didn't like that it wasn't open style world like WoW is (I'm tired of WoW but I like the style). City of heroes didn't have the level of customization I like (I like collecting epic swords/guns/Armor) Same with Champions online LOTR online (Like I stated above) seemed kind of odd and outdated...Maybe I should try it again though. Also what's so good about EVE? Is Aion any decent to play?now that 1.9 is out, aion is an excellent choice. i really think you should give Age of Conan another try. with the new expansion and added content from patches, the game is great now.
if you want PVP, with the recent patches WAR is the best choice atm. the population is probably larger than AOC but only by maybe 10K. either game has around 120k subs last time i heard.
Just to start, I'm not wanting top play WoW anymore. So no sense in recommending that. I was thinking about Global Agenda till I found it there was no open world....So that's out. I want one with decent graphics, one that has an open world (Similar to WoW).....None of this point traveling like Age of Conan....Hells_rebelion
Anything worth visiting in wow was instanced. So i dont really see what was so open world about it. You should try some of sandbox games if you want open world. Mortal online or Darkfall online.
Aion is now a good choice because of 1.9, But with Eve being sold for 2 bucks, who could NOT want to pick it up?
