Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but it seems to fit.

After some issues over connectivity to EA servers my bro is trying to hook up a new modem (wired) to our PC, but it asks for an Admin password of some sort. The message box is similar to this:

*Note: This is not the identical box, as the text displayed is different, however the field names are the same.*

Does anyone know what this password is for? Is it the password of the admin user account or is it a password I can obtain from my ISP? I've tried my WEP key but that doesn't seem to be the password it wants.

Any help is appreciated.

Try admin/admin or admin/[blank].

Are you on DSL? What prompts you to get this? Going to the internet?

Yup, we are DSL. It seems to be coming up whenever we try to setup the modem on the computer after we plug it all in to the phone line and PC. We've since plugged the old modem back in and all is fine, it only seems to pop up with this password prompt when we try to change the modem. I'll ask my brother to clarify where exactly this message occurs when he finishes work.

Yeah we tried putting admin in the fields Levrar but had no luck.

I think you need to ask your ISP what the password and username is. I haven't ever used DSL so I am not too familiar.

Yeah thanks I suppose I'll have to do that if I can't find out what it is. I suspect it could just be a dodgey modem though, as we've changed modems three times with no password prompts. :?
