I am thinking about overclocking my dual core 6400+ and was wondering what program I should use to monitor my temps.

Thanks

Core temp works well.

Prime95 is the best stress test imo.

Core temps are running between 30 'c and 35'c. What range of temp should I avoid reaching?

on Load , i think you should get max 60c .After that maybe think to buy a new cpu cooler just to be safe ..on iddle you will always have low numbers like that.

CoreTemp is definitely the most reliable and useful monitor I've used so far. You can make it display the CPU temperatures right in your system tray, just in case you get carried away.
