What psu should i get?

I'll be getting a 6870 card fairly quickly and i only have a 430w psu at the moment. I'm reading that i don't need the min 500w for the 6870 but i figure i should be safe. I'm looking for a relativly cheap psu thats 500 maybe a lil over. I was looking at this one...

Also my cpu needs an 8pin connector if that helps. Its anAMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz

if you plan on crossfiring minimum is 650W. i think 450W-500W will do.im getting an antec 450W for my 6850.

Don't get that Psu you can get better for the same price. If you get the MIR on the corsair CX500 v2 (500w) PSU from newegg it ends up $39.99 with $2.99 shipping.

Remember the usable power is not 100% for a psu and the maximum is at 80% so you need 20% more power than what is really needed.

And remember the efficiency of a PSU will go down about 10% each year.

So if you need this for 4 years you need that 20% from the first line and 40%(10% x 4 years).

The outcome is you need 60% more power for 4 years.

Thats not the way it works at all.

The efficiency and the output rly has very little incomon.

How you end up with needing 60% more power than actual powerdraw just because of degradation of the PSU is just nonsense, any half decent PSU will live for years and years, cap's and build quality today is quite good if you skip the low end/ noname brands.
