I just want some advice before I buy anything for my Rig.

This is my current Rig:

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti

AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 3.40 Ghz

Gskill Ripjaws DDR3-1600MHz 3x2GB

What should I upgrade first?

About the budget let's say 300? per upgrade.

Or hell, 2 monitors are pretty awesome. You might be overwhelmed by the amount or extra screen at first but eventually you won't be able to go back.

Tc nothing besides a monitor Also why do you have 3x2gb? If i'm not mistaken your platform only supports dual channel instead of triple channel so probably your Ram works in single rather in dual mode

I would say just get a decent CPU cooler and overclock that cpu to 3.8ghz or so and that is a solid setup.

Good catch, if that's the case he should also get another 2GB RAM module so it can all run in Dual Channel mode imo

Thanks for all the answers.

Never thought of overclocking my CPU because my current cooler is the default one.

And about that extra RAM, does it need to be from the same brand as the others or just the same amount of RAM and Mhz?

Same brand is preferred, but same size and speed SHOULD work.

The frequency (MHz), timings (i.e.: 5-5-5-15), and recommended voltage all need to be the same as your original RAM...

I agree with this. Everything looks pretty solid. I would just go all out and buy a high end gpu, then he'll be set for a bit.

You say $300 per upgrade, does that mean $300 per component you want to upgrade? I'm sure you could get a pretty good card for under $300. Maybe a decent size monitor, although I'm not sure what res you could get at that price. They do have cpu/mobo combos for right at 300, but for that price you aren't gonna get anything better than what you have, imo anyways. I agree with a lot of folks up here, and you really shouldn't have to upgrade a lot. I just think the video card, or maybe the ram, and that's it. I'm not so sure u really need a upgrade though.
