O&O defrag is probably one of the better but it's not free or cheap.
For a free defragger you could try this,
http://www.piriform.com/defraggler
Never used it myself but have used their ccleaner for a while now.
is the auslogic boost speed also beneficial enough to try out? i just tried both defraggler and auslogic disk defragger, and the auslogic seems much faster so ill stick with that.
I would use windows defrag if I have to. But, I have never need it. The best way to defrag is not defrag at all. The best is actually reload the backup image, which will put data in the best positions ever. And I do image recover to clean up my messy hard drive at same time.magicalclicksry i lol'd at this
I use Auslogics disk defrag. It's free, and really fast. I've had a good experience with it so far.

I have both of these, although they are both fully-licensed versions. Diskeeper is actually better, with the "IntelliWrite" function you get defragging on-the-fly. Plus I got a great combo deal which got me their Undelete application.I like Diskeeper
