What should my monitor refresh rate be?

I have a 19" lcd wide. I can put it at 60hrz or 75hrz at 1280x800. WHich should I use? the higher one? Sorry for the noob question but id appreciate an answer...

doesnt matter, just run it at 60hz.

if it was crt then 75

well its depends on your eyes, i put mine at 75hz because at 60hz my eyes start to hurt after using it for a while...

It really doesnt matter for just general computing tasks, however when you play games, you'll experience slight shutters in frames above your refresh rate if you are using certain monitors. Vsync fixes this, again on some monitors are effected by this.

I run mine on 75hz as well because if i start to read along article my eyes become like X.X
