Well quite simply, I just want to know what people feel about this. One of the things that destroyed SWG was when SOE ditched the skill/profession based system and went for the class crap, which made it a really really bad WoW clone. Any fun to be had pretty much died after that.
Will you give the KOTOR MMO a chance if they go for a class based system? Such as picking Jedi, Bounty Hunter, etc. Or will you only play it if you raise individual skills/professions and aren't stuck in a character class, like the old SWG was?
While they could still possibly make it a good game if they went for a class based system, I'm not saying it's impossible, I would think they game would be a thousand times better if they went for a more UO style approach to your character. Or the old SWG. No matter how many people cried and moaned about not being a Jedi in SWG, I liked having Jedi being something you had to earn, instead of just being a class option on the character creation screen. Not to mention you could specialize in whatever you wanted, heck, even being a medic, merchant, whatever and not even really having to deal with combat or going to kill things to level up and go raid dungeons.
I'd like to see a more open ended approach to the game, but I don't really know what to expect from a KOTOR MMO. What do you guys think?
