What skill/class system do you want in the KOTOR MMO?

Well quite simply, I just want to know what people feel about this. One of the things that destroyed SWG was when SOE ditched the skill/profession based system and went for the class crap, which made it a really really bad WoW clone. Any fun to be had pretty much died after that.

Will you give the KOTOR MMO a chance if they go for a class based system? Such as picking Jedi, Bounty Hunter, etc. Or will you only play it if you raise individual skills/professions and aren't stuck in a character class, like the old SWG was?

While they could still possibly make it a good game if they went for a class based system, I'm not saying it's impossible, I would think they game would be a thousand times better if they went for a more UO style approach to your character. Or the old SWG. No matter how many people cried and moaned about not being a Jedi in SWG, I liked having Jedi being something you had to earn, instead of just being a class option on the character creation screen. Not to mention you could specialize in whatever you wanted, heck, even being a medic, merchant, whatever and not even really having to deal with combat or going to kill things to level up and go raid dungeons.

I'd like to see a more open ended approach to the game, but I don't really know what to expect from a KOTOR MMO. What do you guys think?

God I hope its the latter.... everyones to obsessed with "Fair play :cry:" these days to accept games like this though.

Yeah I hate how the devs give in to the whiners. If there are legitimate concerns well then of course listen to your customer base, but I'm tired of things getting nerfed or ruined because somebody has to cry about it lol.

SWG system definitely, but only if they can make it balanced.

SWG based for definate...SoE really killed the game by taking that away. It just added so much choice to the game, you could be a beast master and commando at the same time; teras kasi (is that how you spell it?) and pistoleer...Man I miss those days...

Skills and profressions...each "class" should not be a carbon copy clone of the next guy with just a different outfit on.

oh and they should do something that SWG failed to do at for the last 5+ years.... SMUGGLERS SMUGGLING.

The old star wars galaxy was the best...until they revamped the entire game and ruined it.

It seems like people want this game to be the new "old" SWG.
