Hi evryone, I wanted to build a new gaming rig, the game that I'm really worried about running is GTA IV, I heard it was extremely difficult to run it at max because it was poorly ported, does anyone know what it takes to run it at max, or will I have to get an Xbox360 instead to experience GTA IV in all its glory :(

I don't think buying a new system is worth it for one game. At the moment the best choice would be the 360 version because its much more stable and has more people playing online.

For a better frame rate on a console, the PS3 version is alot more stable and the online is pretty smooth for the most part, but basically dead, I heard the same for 360 version from my friends, they say its hard to find a full game so basically dead on both. It depends on what you want to do and how u game but if your considering a console, get a PS3 for other better games and a good hardwae deal in general., I was once a huge GTA fan, and IV was a let down for me, really took out a bunch of stuff that made the previous San Andreas game endlessly fun. For a PC to run GTA IV on highest, you will probably want to look into at least a dual core cpu clocked at least at 3.0ghz, at least 2 gb of ram, and I dont know the recommended g cards for the game on PC but for high settings, u want to get at least a 8800gt, spend at least 500$ on a rig, then maybe do some OCing and you'll be fine.
