Actually the DX10 functionality hasent been added to AoC yet. They ended up delaying it to later this summer.

I ran the game for 5-6 hours stright with graphics set to high and AA x2 at 1650 x 1024, windowed mode without any slowdown or performance issues:

E6750, 4gb ram (using 3.2 due to 32bit Vista), 8800 GT 1gb

Overall the game appears to be in a very good state for a newly launched MMO.

That sucks about DX10, wonder why they gave you the option then :/ oh well, it still looks fantastic for a MMO.

See specs below, runs good. I have it set to the default high setting, probably getting around 35-39 FPS outside cities and 29-30 FPS inside.

Well I think it's too early to tell. But here is my opinion. Is it better than other recent MMOs that have come out? (Hellgate, Vaguard, LOTRO) I would say easily it is better than these. It's very polished, I've only had one broken quest so far and there are many variety of quests. There is actual NPCs with voice dialogue and and different options when it comes to your responses. The combat is new and different, but we'll see if it has the staying power. I like it because it actually requires more decision making on the players part. The graphics are easily the best ever seen in an MMO. I'm only a level 14 Assassin, so I haven't even left the single player portion of the game yet. I mostly PVE and really enjoy single player RPGs and AoC really seems a lot of good content for that type of player.
