What the heck is with assassin's creed for PC!!!

First, they annouced the date to be released on march...then they postponed to march 28th...then Apirl 9 (or was it 8th? I forgot). Ubisoft really hates PC gamers, don't they? Also, look at rainbow six 2!! Probably gunna keep on postponing it.

It's pretty good. I'm playing it right now on my 360. My only problem is that it's really repetitive. I'm on my fourth assassination and so far everythings exactly the same as the first three... exactly. But the visuals and character animations are some of the best I've seen.

Do you think developers or publishers delay a release because they hate their playerbase? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard on these forums... uh, today, anyway... it's getting delayed because they're working hard to make the game run as smoothly as they can - to improve it as much as they can.

To make the best game they can. That's why games get delayed, usually. I'm pleased that the game is being delayed.

True, it could be a good thing, but it does tell us something about their priorities.. Glass half full or half empty kinda thing, I guess ;)

I was looking forward to this title, but I seem to have lost interest somewhat. I think partly because of the delays but definitely reinforced by the system requirements. I hope it turns out to be good.

I think they just cancelled it because most people have already finished the game.

But seriously, I guess that they are almost finished beta testing so it should be out soon...

You know, that wouldn't be such a bad idea. A lot of people that download games, they won't buy them anyway. So why not just leak a beta product and let the pirates beta test the game, thinking that they are playing the retail version?

Why complain about the release date being pushed back? Ubisoft made the decision so we dont get a buggy, laggy, and unoptimized game when it comes out on the PC. As long as it is staying in development, its getting plenty of polish before we get to it.

Why complain about the release date being pushed back? Ubisoft made the decision so we dont get a buggy, laggy, and unoptimized game when it comes out on the PC. As long as it is staying in development, its getting plenty of polish before we get to it.

People said the same thing about RE4. I really don't expect this to be a very good port at all.

I'd rather it spent more time in development so we don't get a buggy, unoptimized port. But coming from Ubisoft, I wouldn't expect much. Obviously they don't hate PC gamers. It's just that the PC is more of an afterthought for them, and they tend to half-ass everything for the PC.

Still, I think I'll probably just rent it for the 360 when I get around to it rather than spend full price for the PC version, as the game has gotten such mixed reviews.

i've seen worse with deadlines being pushed back...

A buddy of mine had it on his PS3, but he had to go away for a 3 day weekend mini vacation, so he let me borrow it. I tried to like it, but I couldn't. I mean its not a bad game, I just didn't want to play it. So when he came back I gave it right back to him. Think of it as a free rental, that I was so glad I didn't actually buy.
