Hey guys major problem. I got my new PC today. and any game I play crashes after about 2 minutes. I don't understand it as these are the specs:

Intel Quad Core 2.4GHz processor

GeForce 9800GTX+ graphics card

4GB RAM

I played Brothers In Arms Road To Hill 30 and even that crashes and freezes -_-

Can anyone please help?

He said: "I played Brothers In Arms Road To Hill 30 and EVEN THAT crashes and freezes", I think that's the only old game he played.

It could be the RAM, PSU, drivers. Have you updated your drivers?

Have you checked your temps? Run memtest to see if you find any errors on your RAM.

Update all of your drivers. Make sure all Windows updates are applied. Check the temps using a utility from your mainboard provider (etc). If that doesn''t help check c:\windows\minidump\ for dumps. You can use the data in that directory with Windbg and the symbols file for your OS to find out what application has actually crashed your machine and why. To find out more search google for windbg bsod your OS.

My guess would be that you have a bad stick of ram. Run memtest and see if it gets any errors. If that is not the problem then it might be your video card.

Hi guys when it crashes, I get a blue screem with some writing for about a second but then it reboots. I don't have time to read what the writing says.

Run memtest, and check temps like already suggested. Is your RAM 2GB x 2? If memtest and temps are ok, I would suspect PSU, but these kinds of things can be difficult to troubleshoot... Are you running everything stock speeds?

not good check your temperatures best way to do this is to download a program called speedfan search it on google, it will show you the temps of your CPU, and hard drive as well as ram i think anything nearing 70 degrees you should be worried also have you inserted your RAM correctly ? you should have two of the same sticks in one bank a bank being the two slots that are the same colour

Check your ram, when i brought my computer it would freeze in dual channel as the ram was not compatiable with the motherboard. Try the same thing.
