Which two of these strategy games should I get. Supreme Commander Gold or Sins of a Solar Empire? Also can you link a Boxed Sins copy to Stardock's DD service? Both I can find for 30 USD online, boxed.

Yes, you can link a Sins game to Impulse. It really depends on what you want. Space, or land? Also, if you get Sins, make sure you get entrenchment if you plan to play online. Most of the community has moved to that.Which two of these strategy games should I get. Supreme Commander Gold or Sins of a Solar Empire? Also can you link a Boxed Sins copy to Stardock's DD service? This. I like games that take a lot of time to actually accomplish something or slow games in general but SoaSE is just so boring and uninteresting, and i'm not talking about establishing your base or something, I'm talking about the actual battles with hundreds of spaceships, seing ships exploding, firing lasers, etc, I don't find it fun at all, it's just boring.I'd go for SupCom.

want a massive land game or space game i prefer supcom because it has a sp campaign

Wait sins doesn't have single player campaign? I was seriously thinking about picking this up, but I'm new to RTS and would get slaughtered in a mp only game. Any reccomendations. The only RTS I've really put time into is BattleForge and Company of Heroes. What should be next?

It has single player maps. Its just a huge, grand playboard with no story as of now, in singleplayer.

Ugh. I thought it'd have some kind of grand Sci Fi epic plot. Damn, that seriously took away most of the interest I had in it.

Try Starcraft
I don't get all the people here saying Sins is a long game. If you play with 8-10 players on hard then yeah the game is going to take quite a few hours to beat. 2 or 4 players and the game is generally over in an hour or so especially with locked teams on.
As for what game, I'd say get both if possible. Both have been the pinnicle of RTS gaming the last few years and will offer you tons of great gaming over quite a few hours. If only one is an option, well are you more into building up for one big battle which is Sup Com or are you more interested in managing an actual Empire and taking over planets and such because that's the real big difference between the two.

It's kind of comparable to the Total War games, except instead of taking over and developing cities you're taking over and developing planets and asteroids. It's not nearly as fun as the Total War games and your own AI is good enough that micromanagement is not really necessary, unlike in the Total War games where you could epicly win outmatched battles by using tactics.
Sins is a fun game , I just installed and played for the first time a few days ago, and went almost 10 hours straight playing the game. However I think it has been grossly overrated on gamespot. I doubt I will play the game much more after that initial first day where I spent the whole day on it.
Both are Fantastic RTS games,
however like said before it all depends on what you want, You want Fleets of Thousands in Space or in Ground;Naval;Air Forces?
I'd recommend getting both if able to be honest.

I love both Sins and SupCom, A single match Can Last a Long ass time trust me, I've had a skirmish Match that lasted 7½ hours of play time in Sins, 5 in SupCom.(These matches spanding over a few days not at one time) that's more play time than some full games.
If you have the patience of a three year old, & things going Ka-Boom! every few seconds you'll most likely wont like these games.:P
It really doesn't matter, one is space and one is land, which one do you like more? Go with that.Which two of these strategy games should I get. Supreme Commander Gold or Sins of a Solar Empire? Also can you link a Boxed Sins copy to Stardock's DD service? Both I can find for 30 USD online, boxed.

Both great games but imo sins is better. granded even a 4player skirmish map can take you 5-6 hours to finish but you never get bored. The amount of micromanagement, spectacular hundreds or even thousands spaceships battles, great graphics . Only downside is lack of campaign but even a skirmish single player map can keep you occupied 5-6 hours easily.
The way I look at it, in SupCom you have battles, and in Sins skirmishes you wage war. The scale of the gameplay in Sins is just incredible. Only bad thing is that skirmishes can last well over 6 hours possibly a whole day.
I like SIns a lot better Supcom's AI is retarded, and it takes like a century for your units to get into battle formation, Sins I like A LOT better far more fun when playing with friends. Though the longer games are tons of fun great for the summer when you have loads of time. SupCom I hate for some reason...
Though I loved Tiberium wars
Supcom's AI is retardedShade340Try creating an AI for 3000+ units running all at the same time and have it run well on a single core. It's not like SoaSE even comes close to the amount of units that SupCom has on the field at one time. Also combined with real time physics (artillery shells hitting planes, etc). You can tell 1000+ units to patrol an unimaginable amount of points or have an 1000+ units queued to be built. I also have never seen what you're talking about. Did you play the Vanilla or demo? Because everything has vastly improved since both of those. I can play FA maxed, where as the vanilla demo I had to play on medium.
So you have to tell us what you decided on lol!Hmm...I made this thread at the end of June...
