alright ive been messing with my computer for a week now and i just had my monitor reading on my 800gts and now it wont im at the point on installing an os but now my monitor wont read my video card and is stuck in sleep mode does anyone know how to solve this problem
Earlier today i had my monitor working on my current 8800gts. Now it will not read at all, and everytime i hook it up to the video card it says it still in sleep mode and wondt do nothing. Can u help me out a little on this situation? It was working , what would make it stop?
Reboot in safe mode, uninstall your video card in the Device Manager, and restart normally. Your drivers may have been corrupted or a setting was changed for the worse.

Can you see the power on self test (post) on the monitor? If not, reseat the video card and/or reset the bios. If none of that works, try a different video card (also make sure the monitor is plugged into the right hole) or the integrated video if you have that. If you can see the post then I don't understand what your problem is.
