I used to use a standard HP keyboard. They keys were all straight, it was made of cheap plastic and it was loud. Now I have a Microsoft keyboard that is curved. At first I was hesitent but when I used it it felt great. It's taking a bit of getting used to, but so far I'm loving it. What type of keyboard do you use? What type is your favorite? And why? Feel free to post pics of your keyboard.

Cheap k120 and k200 keyboards from logitech http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Keyboard-One-touch-Internet-920-002719/dp/B003VAM36K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1329719140&sr=8-1 simply great, good typing feel, cheap, highly recommended. I sort of am interested by mechanical keyboards but I already type 130wpm.

Typing faster really isn't the reason I'd be interested in a mechanical keyboard. Consistent wear, longevity, durability, and a superior controller are what make mechanical (and derivatives like buckling springs and Topre capacitive switches which aren't technically mechanical) keyboards so sought after. Key feel can be subjective of course, and for those people that like short-throw scissor switches there are no real alternatives (Cherry ML Switches can sometimes stick when struck off-center which as you can imagine is a huge problem). If that's your preferred type, I'll admit that there probably isn't a mechanical switch you'll really like.

The ones I am intested are the red switches, but the keyboards are just too expensive for me. If they were like 20$... ;p

The Corsair Vengeance K60 and K90 both use MX Reds, and one variant of the CM Storm Quick Fire Rapid uses them as well. If you live near a Microcenter or Fry's there's a possibility they'll have one of those three boards on display (since Corsair and Cooler Master are big-name brands in the US unlike most MX Red boards that are either semi-custom or OEM) so you can give the switches a spin for yourself. I probably wouldn't buy one of those boards specifically (I'd most likely get a KBT Race 75%), but at least you can get an idea of what the switches feel like without spending any money.

Buckling springs, then Cherry MX Clears, then Cherry MX Blues, in that order. I like good tactility (and hate linear switches as a result, even for gaming).

I've got a fairly unexciting MS Wireless Keyboard 3000. I find it works well for any game, and while a fancier gaming keyboard is something I'd like, I've yet to come across a wireless one.

My Logitech G510. I can easily type over 100WPM with it. It's a comfortable keyboard to type on.

I have mostly Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combos at home. On this PC, I have a Mk320. For my server, I have a cheap $10 Onn keyboard and a cheap $10 Logitech mouse. Both are wired.

Generic cheap wireless keyboard with some media keys.

I don't see the point on buying a £80 'gaming' keyboard.

I'd like backlit keys though.

The Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 3000 offers a unique, ergonomic design at a affordable price that makes it easy to me in search of a basic wired keyboard.

I use the Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite. It works wonders. It's hard going from this ergonomic keyboard to the basic, cheap Dell keyboard at work. The one at work cramps my hands and starts to hurt my wrists/fingers after a few hours.

Ever since I had to house sit for my mom and step-dad when they were gone on vacation and I had to use my mom's computer - I hated the ergonomic keyboard she had. After a couple of days, I loved using it. My mom got me one for Christmas a few weeks later and I haven't looked back. I've been using this keyboard for about 6 or 7 years now.

I picked up a second one just in case this one craps out, but it still working great aftre all these years.

I've used several standard/stock keyboards. Or as some of you would call them - 10-dollar-keyboards. Well, I guess I'm the only one that says that haha. I've used a couple of Saitek keyboards because they were very cheap, price-wise. And they're also cheap in quality haha. I also had the Saitek Eclipse Cyborg V.7 but it had horrible drivers. Got it cheap for $35 when it normally retailed for around $70-80. Slightly better than standard keyboards but it had back-lighting and that's what I wanted because I play in dimly-lit or a dark room.

I've never really put money into a great or exceptional keyboard until several days ago. Bought me a Das Keyboard for $125 off Amazon.com. The Cherry Brown switches because I like them silent. The model I have is the Professional Silent. Best keyboard I ever bought. German-made too. I was going to go with the Deck Legend because it's top-grade and it had back-lighting, in which the Das Keyboard does not. In the end, I chose Das Keyboard. I am already a typist and I don't need all those cool lights.

I prefer slim keyboards that make no clicking sound, or whatever it's called. I'm quite happy with mine, paid it like 7€ and it's better than the M$ wireless I used to have.

Looks nice, too.
