Except there is not much difference between the classes as a warrior can still use magic and survive most monsters.....(with some tactics and smart thinking). Oblivion chargen isn't really good. There is not many ways you can tell a difference between the classes and what makes them uniqueBethesada here. I like that you can decide what skills and abilities to focus on. In biowares games you have to pick a pre-created class. It feels like Bethesda gives you more options and more costumization

Both styles are pretty good. I went with Bioware because their games usually are more about the choices you make, and have good stories.Deadly_Fatalis
I can agree with this: both styles have their advantages.:)
Going purely on character generation (and ignoring all other game content for a moment), I voted for Bethesda. I particularly liked their character generation in Morrowind and Oblivion.
Bioware isn't the creator of sophisticated and stat based class system, you know? Black Isle's SPECIAL ( not Beth's watered down version ), Sir Tech, Obsidian and various EU studios are all known for that kinda rpg games. various signs indicate that Bioware rpgs are getting more and more shallow over the years.
