I'm an Industrial Design major, and am considering building my own PC to run photoshop/illustrator like butta on it, and figured I might as well make it able to play some recent games.  I also don't want to break the bank.  Thanks!

Considering starcraft 2 hasn't even been officially announced... it's hard to say. Lets say that SC2 is announced this month like rumors say. It could be another 2 years before it is released after the announcement. In that case, I don't think you can build a PC for that in mind. However blizzard has never been too advanced for the times graphically.  I would say an 8800gts 320 MB would be a good investment.

But I know us students are poor :-S If running source is really your only concern, u could get a 7600gs and be fine.
