I'll say playing catch with dog in Half Life 2 with the Gravity Gun was quite exhilarating, due to you just didn't see that level of interaction in games before. Another marvelous moment will have to be battling against Bowser in Super Mario 64 for the the first time utilizing a analog controller fora new innovative 3d space in gaming. Nevertheless, there are just so many great moments I had in games bud that I can probably megathread it.

This is in MGS4, because that game was full of epic moments, light spoiler ahead nothing too bad. Solid Snake lies injured in a pier and he is unable to get up. He's been smashed and had his ass handed to him by Liquid so he had given up all hope of surviving as a colossal 1000000 tonne futuristic warship steamed its way towards him, about to crush him into oblivion. Then silence...serene...you look up and see the warship has stopped completely, only to see Raiden on his own pushing the boat back with just one arm and he stabs his foot into the ground with his sword for better support allowing Snake to escape. Took my breath away when I saw that.

For me it was in XWing. Yes Xwing!

My fav game probably of all time. Apart from Rise of Nations maybe.

It was a routine mission to look after transports in deep space.

Imperial Gunboats suddenly started jumping in.

It was a pitched battle in an asteroid field....I had the Star Wars soundtrack on full blast on my Hi Fi. It eventually came down to me and about 10 gunboats.....I finished each one off....but the best bit was when the last two gunboats were coming at me head on. I dodged concussion missiles and they went past me, I was on my last legs.....they both turned into each other and collided. Mission complete.

I remember sweating and going downstairsand just collapsing with joy.

My family probably thought I'd been bopping the balony.

Half-Life 2 and Crysis had lots of amazing moments, but the winner is a particular mission half in cod4. The first half of the sniper mission. It was just awesome. The other half where you carry the other guy around was just lame imo.

Chapter IV of The Witcher, the introduction cinematic and music made it one of the best things I have ever witnessed. Some of the art direction was beyond stunning and all the quests, especially the side quests felt like full scale quality efforts. Not to mention the way the story unfolded was perfect. Defeating Ragnaros in WoW for the first time, in crappy Stratholme gear with a guild full of friends was pretty awesome. Deus Ex when the whole conspiracy unravelled, and the scale of large battles in Sins of a Solar Empire. Too many others to mention.

defeating an egyptian army of around 5000 with just 300 or so men. it involved catapults, hills and a stupid amount of luck :P. other little things like: using bullet time for the first time in max payne entering unatco headquarters after the first mission (i thought i picked up a lemon when i got DE1 but then i entered unatco headquarters after wrapping up things at the statue of liberty and it dawned on me what type of game this was. ) the starting sequence for chapter 4 in the witcher. entering the nebula for the first time on freespace 2. seeing a chicken floating upside down going past me in crysis (not kidding...that happened).

In "Legacy of Kain Defiance" When Kaine battles Raziel. Also the orriginal FEAR every flashback scene was awesome. And the Witcher ending when you find out that Jaques De Alemane is Alvin.

So many moments...so little time... Uhmm. Lets see. No Major spoilers here, but some. Quake 4 - The Stroggification Scene. It was extremely well done. Pity the game went downhill after it. Supreme Commander - The last mission of the UEF campaign, i forgot to get a functioning Radar online, and then when I did I saw swarms of about a hundred tech 2 units, lead by 3/4 spiderbots headed my way. Good thing I had Artillery positions! Crysis - The whole freaking game...what? Okay, the tank battle. I didn't like it that much to start with, because I thought it was really linear. Then I noticed that it's NOT linear, it just gives you the illusion at times of being linear. Really, it has one of the biggest maps in the game. It's great. American Mcgee's Alice - The Intro. I love it xD Prey - The part where you walk past a school bus, then all the power goes off, and blue lights start beaming out the bus windows. Unreal Tournament 3 - "It looks like a flag, it moves like a flag, it's a flag." Command And Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath - The final mission, taking the Tacitus back. Took me a few trys, but it was one of my favourite maps in the game, and overall my favourite mission. That'll do for now xD

*Spoiler* MGS4 Snake has to get to the end of a tunnel so radiated his skin is dropping of him, at the start he is running through but by the end he is bairly hanging on to dear life, during this the screen is split into other actions scenes, the USS Missouri battling against impossible odds, radien with no arms holding a sword in his mouth fending off loads of me, and Johnny and Meryl both injured shooting away at almost near never ending amounts of men and running out of ammo quick, then it just cuts to sunny making eggs, for most of you that will be nothing but it realy is epic.
