What Was Your Favorite Part of Half-Life 2

I was jus wondering what your favorite part of Half-Life 2 was (Not including the episodes).

My favorite part was either the firsthalf of Raven Holme where your just shooting stuff like saw blades, exploding barrels, or cinder blocks off of your gravity gun killing those crazy zombies in half, awesome. Or it was the second too last level "Our Benefactors" when you get the super powered gravity gun to shoot bodies around, and that was just one of the greatest things in gaming right there. Or it was "Follow Freeman" where you got some real good puzzles early on and than fought those tall walking things (I can't believe I forgot what they were called can anyone help me out with this) with rockets outside along side some other resistance fighters, and than go throuh this really fun and intense part of runing through broken buildings while being shot by combine soldiers and those tall wlking things until you get to a really fun fight on a roof and take those things down (also the appearance of dog at the end makes it better). Anyway what was your favorite part in Half-Life 2?

Ya, that was cool...it was like a bombed-out city during WWII. Seeing that strider charge up its cannon (RRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrwhooooooosh BAAAAAAAANG!) and seeing the visual distortion effect was just awesome. That was a real "dear in the headlights" moment for me as I was right in the path of the gun and died from it. It was just cool.

Probably the opening twenty minutes. I love how dystopic and desperate everything is. The combine soldiers look cool, the world is very oppressive and I got a strong impression that I was in a world afflicted by some terrible twisted form of martial law. And then immediately, we're thrown into a series of cool OH GOD sequences where we desprately try to escape, completely unarmed.

A great introduction.

My other favourite moment is best summed up as F5 + suitzoom + Alyx's buttocks.

i enjoyed Ravenholm the best i think...or that chapter where you fight the striders.

Ravenholm was real eerie and haunted...felt like resident evil, i love that kind of atmosphere.

definitely the first part of the game, when you first 'interact' with npcs. they stare at you, make a comment, look back down, and if you continue to stare at them, they start looking at you uncomfortably. i was blown away by how real their eyes looked, how real their expressions were. as for gameplay, my two favs were when you're in that prison and the combines storm in at you and you have 3 turrets to help you fend them off. i also enjoyed the part where you fight 3 or 4 striders. another part i liked a lot was the first time you face off with the antlion boss, at the prison. when it stormed in the room, i was like, 'holy ****,' and just started running!

Playing with DOG for the first time was a blast for me.

The first time you see a strider casually walking down the street.

Man, if I could play one game series over for the first time again it would be half life for sure.

I take back what i said cause after all this reading almost majority of the game was pretty impressive.OoSuperMarioO

Yeah! It's amazing how many great parts this game has. It's not flawless, but almost. One of the best PC games ever!

The first part of the game was awe-inspiring in graphics, atmosphere, and so on.

After that, I would say that the part where you have to set up sentry guns and fight off wave after wave of Combine soldiers was very memorable.

He thinks Halo is better than Half-Life.

The best moment was during route canal for the first time, with choppers on my tail and the huge chimneystack coming crashing down across the causeway. It looked magnificent. I somehow survived it, too.

oh yeah he was awesome, did he die or not? I stood there watching him kill tons of zombies but he never died. Maybe he will have a cameo in episode 3:D

Anticitizen One/Follow Freeman sequence. Sticking it to the Combine in City 17. That was just unforgetable. Side note: "Anticitizen One" has got to be the coolest chapter/level title ever.

First: Ravenholm. With shotgun in your hand and a zombie coming at you... Is there a more better feeling than to blow the headcrab off the zombies head with the shotgun?

Second: The last parts of Follow Freeman. Enough striders to the end of the world.

Third: The obliriation of th portal Breen is using to escape.

Has to be the first level when you get off the train and just explore let alone mess with the guards to only get attack by a nightstick, truly a classic moment for me.OoSuperMarioO

Yea, the "intro" is one of the best I've ever seen in a game. It's just perfect.
