Got divorced in 95', so trying to think back to then I would say I was playing console games back then. Didn't get my first PC till 98'. Did a lot of partying, as well as some illegal substances. Can't quite remember for sure, but I owned 2 or 3 different console systems so whatever games were out, I more than likely had and played.

God, I feel old reading this thread. :/

Anyway, I'd have been playing Star Wars: Dark Forces and Hexen: Beyond Heretic, which were released that year. But I would still have been enjoying Doom 2 and Elder Scrolls: Arena from the previous year.

I didn't have my own PC in '95, but I'd play Doom 2 on my uncle's PC whenever I got the chance. Or SimCity 2000 on my dad's Mac.

I was more of a console gamer back then. Earthworm Jim 2, Theme Park and Micro Machines '96, all on the Sega Mega Drive, were my games of choice.

Oh, did we move on to 1996 ?

Well, let's see (think think think)

I played:

PC games:
Quake - scared the hell out of me, those haunting grunts by the zombies or whatever they were supposed to be
Diablo - Still my favourite game of all time, played it until my fingers bled
Duke Nukem 3D - Oh Yeah ! The Duke, organised my first LAN parties with all my buddies, taking over my parents' house, ha ha - good times !
Civilization 2 - Of course
Z - Not sure why I tried this, I liked the graphics but never got in to the game
Risk - My dad bought this game and we played it together
Elder Scrolls - Daggerfall - Loved the random world, fascinating, the game itself was a bit tedious
Gearheads -Interesting game
Sim Copter - For some strange reason, I loved this game, always wanted to play an update version of this
Albion: Super-undrrated Top down RPG that I played again a few months ago, check it out dudes
Afterlfie - Bought it because I liked the theme, but never got into it

That's about it !

What about the rest of you ?

HXX

Ultima Online, I think. Maybe 1995 was too early. I've just started playing again on a free server called In Por Ylem. Tons of fun, would definitely recommend it. http://inporylem.com.

Yeah. My mom was annoyed but my dad wasn't. Heck, when I was 6 or 7 years old I started playing Duke3D. My dad brought it one day home and I started playing the Platinum Edition.

I want to say all I had at the time was an NES so I was playing those games (I had a good bit) Was still borrowing and trading NES games with friends then, but that is the year it started to die down. Was 10 years old then.

Though I did go over to my friends house often, he had a pc with a lot of games on it.. Though I don't think that was until early 1996.

Eternal Champions (Sega Genesis) I think I was like 5 or 6.. That game rocked my world. Not only did I get to go over my childhood crush's house to see her, I got to play Eternal Champions. Life as a kid was GOOD.

1996

During the 1990s I has heavily into the FPS genre, spiced up with some RPG goodness.

Hexen: Death Kings Of The Dark Citadel - couldn't get enough of Hexen back in the day.
Heretic: Shadow Of The Serpent Riders - fantasy Doom - what's not to like?
Quake - had a great blast with this game and its expansions.
Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall - sunk hundreds of hours into this game, but never finished it because I got tired of the bugs - especially falling through the ground into the void, which happened far too frequently to me. :/
