minor at best man.. as far as we know the prices still that we dismiss as trash could be valid. but preformance wise there neck in neck.

take it you didnt see any of the benches from the 480 news last night.. got back meybe a page or two. 5870 is like 1% worse than a gtx 480 sometimes BETTER and generally the majority of games where it beats the 5870 are nivida card favoured (though it still cant play tom clancy's hawx very well or gta4 for that matter). yeah it mainly beats it at the powerhouse gpu games and the dx11 benches (ungine and the like) but in a dx10 environment its worse by a considerable amount (5% or more than a 5870)

and if the saberpc price is correct i definetely wont be putting that kind of money into nivida this year.

I wouldn't expect a dramatic price-drop or even one at all, seeing as the 5870 was competing well with nVidia's latest offering in the benchmarks I have seen.

if the gtx480 is priced around 5870 area then i expect a 50 dollar drop at most. however because we are talking about nvidia, it wont be priced around the 5870, therefore we will not see a price drop
